It was a damp overcast morning when I arrived at the beautiful Sanaview Farms in Pennsylvania; it had just finished raining the ground still wet the air humid. As I stepped out of my car I smiled with excitement, this venue was STUNNING. A great line of trees, beautiful barn, and a greenhouse – my mind was buzzing with ideas. I couldn’t wait to capture Katie and Drakes day.
I met with Katie and immediately got to work, I wanted to make sure every detail was captured and show cased in their own special way, these are just a few of my absolute favorites:
Afterwards, it was time to focus on the girls getting ready and the guys’ portraits, everyone did such an amazing job and we even managed to get their girls formal shots done before the ceremony.
Watching Katie walk down the aisle was an absolute privilege to see Drake look on with excitement and admiration as his wife to be walked down the aisle was such a treat. Meeting these two I could instantly tell they are meant for one another. I absolutely love these two!
Every bit of the ceremony was absolutely beautiful, it never fails for me to shed a few tears. I may not know my couples long when I shoot their big day but I can’t help but feel so incredibly happy for the people I photograph.
Then it was time for one of my favorite times of the day: formals. Once the family photos are complete, I get to have some one on one time with the bride and groom and capture the two of them together during their first hour as Mr. and Mrs.! Katie and Drakes love for one another showed through the entire shoot and I had a blast working with them both! The owner of the farm was kind enough to let Katie, Drake and I go where ever we wanted on the grounds – I was so happy to be able to have free reign!
After formals came everyones favorite time of the day the reception AKA FOOD! This reception was a total blast from amazing food provided by MOBQ to great music and atmosphere by Dj Jack Lebarko this reception was an absolute blast! I even started moving while capturing all the fun!
After some fun it was time for something really special, the proposal. A few days before Katie and Drake told me they were helping one of the groomsmen propose to his girlfriend, I was excited and NERVOUS! Shout out to the awesome dj for setting up the moment perfectly! Congratulations to this beautiful couple, I couldn’t be more excited for you! ❤
Afterwards, it was time for the father daughter dance along with the mother son dance. A huge thank you to Katie's maid of honor for looking out for me during the father daughter dance. As some of you know my father passed away unexpectedly in February, it was hard shooting these moments with my own father in mind but Melanie had tissues at the ready. So thank you again, you truly are a blessing! Afterwards it was time to let loose! And boy did this crowd have fun!
Thank you again to Katie and Drake for an AMAZING time! My first wedding of 2017 could not have gone ANY better! I wish you and Drake many many beautiful and joyful years together. Thank you to all the rad vendors who were so kind and made this day possible for this awesome couple. You guys killed it!
